Instructions (Stovetop Method)

 

 

 

Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.

 

Cover with cold water (about 1 inch above eggs).

 

Bring to a rolling boil.

 

Once boiling, turn off heat, cover, and let sit:

 

10 minutes for fully set but tender yolks

 

12 minutes for very firm yolks

 

Transfer eggs immediately to an ice bath for 5 minutes.

 

Peel or store.

 

Easy-Peel Tips

 

 

 

Tap, roll, and peel from the wide end (air pocket)

 

Slightly older eggs peel better

 

Add a teaspoon of baking soda or vinegar to the water (optional)

 

Storage

 

 

 

Unpeeled: up to 7 days refrigerated

 

Peeled: up to 3 days in an airtight container
