Tropical Immunity Juice

Ingredients

2 cups fresh pineapple chunks

1 cup ripe papaya, diced

3 mandarin oranges or clementines, peeled

1 small piece fresh ginger (about 1 inch), peeled

1/2 teaspoon turmeric (fresh grated or ground)

1 cinnamon stick

4 whole cloves

3 cups water

1–2 tablespoons honey (optional)

Juice of 1 lemon or lime

Instructions

Add pineapple, papaya, oranges, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon stick, cloves, and water to a large pot.

Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20–25 minutes.

Remove cinnamon stick and cloves.

Carefully blend the mixture until smooth using a blender or immersion blender.

Stir in honey and lemon/lime juice.

Strain if you prefer a smoother juice, or leave pulpy for extra fiber.

Chill in the refrigerator and serve cold over ice.

Storage

Store in sealed bottles or jars in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Shake well before serving since natural separation may occur.

Mint leaves for freshness

Cayenne pepper for a spicy kick
